Jack finds it soothing, for some reason, to look at all the books, floor to ceiling, which inhabit the larger library of Here. The little pot lights are a nice touch and the curved stair leading to the second level reminds him of the Hub. He sits at the long, wooden table, hands folded across his stomach, in jeans, a t-shirt and bare feet, and contemplates the colour patterns he can make and the different sizes of the books.
He's meeting the Doctor here - as good a place as any - and they're going to have a chat. Possibly about the whole puzzle piece scenario, possibly about books, possibly about the meaning of life or, maybe, why Babylon 5 ended the way it did. He doesn't really care. They've both been so busy of late that he hasn't seen him in a while. It'll be nice just to hang out for a bit.

Rating: Um... NC-17 for language and mature content. ADDED WARNING FOR EXPLICIT ICONS. This is Jack, after all...
Summary: Mutual attraction leads to mutual action, and actions speak louder than words...
Ana retrieved the key and Jack smiled, at the place where she'd stored it and at her attempt to open the door from her current position. Her legs were wrapped around his waist and her other hand was on her shoulder, seeking balance.
"Let me," he said, and gently took the key from her.
The door was open and he carried her inside, closing and locking it behind him. He knew she had someone Here who was interested in her - or so he understood, anyway. A pity he wasn't paying attention. Jack's brain was still buzzed with Scotch, but really, when had he ever turned down a chance to shag a beautiful woman?
It was a little weird, Jack admitted, that this other guy could be his twin. He wondered if that would cross Ana's mind while they... went however far they went...
Eyes adjusting to the dim lighting - she'd left a lamp on in the living area - he set the key on a side table and encouraged her to stand.
"We're here, baby," he murmured, and kissed her again, hard.

In need of some quiet, Rose slips out of the noisy party in room 330 and onto the balcony. The night is clear and silent, and the sky is full of glittering, crystalline stars. Rose leans against the railing, a flute of champagne in one hand, and gazes out over the snow-covered landscape.
A wedding.
Rose is really very happy for Layla, and is touched and honored to have been asked to be in the wedding party. But there's also a hollowness in her chest. Jealousy, perhaps.
She sighs, and sips her champagne.
